Kyrie Irving, on his future. "Rumors, rumors, rumors. Why would I want to leave here?"
[–]RaptorsElvvvvv 380 points 22 hours ago
The opportunity to play with Ron Baker is why you leave? Duh
[–]WarriorsEverybodyHatesKevin 96 points 21 hours ago
He already left bron, what makes you think he’d want to play seventh fiddle for Bon bon Baker?
[–]KnicksPesaberhimil 46 points 20 hours ago
Off topic but the first time I heard of Ron Baker, I thought it was a meme name for Thon Maker and was extremely surprised to find out he was actually a real player.

Ainge is a god for flipping a cripple for Kyrie
[–]DrPongLenis 150 points 21 hours ago
The fact that Kyrie wanted out no matter what helped a lot though
[–]Cavaliersconstantvariables 81 points 21 hours ago
This was the best offer the Cavs got for Kyrie.
[–][BOS] Danny Aingecwhaaaales 69 points 19 hours ago
And honestly at first it seemed like a relatively fair trade for the situation the Cavs were in. Nobody predicted Isaiah would decline as much as he did, and Jae wasn't special but seemed like he could breakout as a legit role player while playing alongside a GOAT passer like LBJ. Shit jus didn't pan out.

Shit jus didn’t pan out.
And the thing is they still got the Finals with a team built from this trade. Even with Kyrie, the Warriors with KD were too much for the Cavs and the end result would have been the same. So the trade also helped set us up for a post LeBron team as he likely would have only stayed if the Cavs somehow beat GS.
[–]junkit33 30 points 19 hours ago
And it was a damn good offer for a guy who wanted out.
IT was a risk, but he gave the Cavs a reasonable chance of a direct Kyrie replacement for the one last year with Lebron.
And nobody could have foreseen Crowder completely shitting the bed in Cleveland. He actually seemed like a perfect fit for what that team needed.
Then a high and immediate 1st.
100% defensible trade by Cleveland.
[–]Celticsnefnaf 32 points 21 hours ago
He actually flipped Jae Crowder and the Colin Sexton pick for Kyrie.
IT was mostly salary filler since everyone knew he was hurt
[–]Bullsultralightdick 41 points 21 hours ago
Some people thought IT could come back to form though. In any case that is some magician shit

Not even Knicks and Nets fans buy the pipe dream
That should tell you enough
[–]KnicksStayMe7o 64 points 23 hours ago
Yea man as much as I would love it he would be a complete fool to leave.
[–]BucksOk_Maize 34 points 21 hours ago
Loaded with all stars, good young talent and future draft picks. There basically isn't a better situation outside of the cheat code Warriors. And even there, it's easy to see a scenario where the Cs are better than the Warriors in 2 years.

I can't wait until Kawhi walks out on the Raptors.
[–][BOS] Semi OjeleyeInAingeWeTrust 65 points 23 hours ago
And then signs with the Clippers. That’d be awesome
[–]Celticsmrspuff202 32 points 22 hours ago
I would love a Kawhi/Butler Clippers facing off with the Lebron Lakers at the Staples Center four times a season
[–]CelticsCaptainGronk69 102 points 23 hours ago
